Dr. Nikolaos T. Manias studied MEDICINE , under scholarships at the University of Athens Greece and Sheffield UK. He graduated, Magna Cum Laude, and specialized in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Gynaecological Endocrinology and Infertility.

He successfully passed ECFMG (Educational Commission of Foreign Medical Graduates) examinations.

He got his Phd with ” Summa Cum Laude “ and he co-authored the post graduate medical textbook “Gynecological Endocrinology”( Authors : Sengos, Manias).

He worked at Athens University Hospital “ Alexandra” for 10 years and was involved with all the tutoring, scientific and researching activities of Gynecological Endocrinology and Infertility department.

He  presented several scientific Papers in International and Greek Meetings , he has given numerous lectures at Seminars sponsored by Society of Hellenic Gynecologic Endocrinology as well as post-graduate courses in the treatment of Infertility. Notably, he has been a member of ESHRE (EUROPEAN SOCIETY OF HUMAN REPRODUCTION AND EMBRYOLOGY) and has attended all  annual conferences.

He is the founder  as well as the  Director of  Assisted Human Reproduction Unit “MITROTIS “, which includes a complete program of IN VITRO FERTILIZATION (IVF), INTRACYTOPLASMIC SPERM INJECTION (ICSI), a very detailed preparation of the couple for a successful treatment , including fertility counseling.  Artificial insemination, cryopreservation of eggs, sperm and embryos, and testicular biopsy in cases of complete azoospermia with painless sperm extraction  (TESE)  from the testicles,  increases  very much the success rates. The clinic also offers the whole spectrum of gynecological and endocrinological diagnoses and treatments, egg , sperm and embryo  donation programs .  Surgical   Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy are applied in Uterine pathology , Repeated IVF failures , Recurrent Abortions  and Endometriosis.
